It has been some seven years since I posted on this blog. As I looked back on the posts, I realized how very special all of those memories are. What a shame that I didn't keep up with the pictures at the very least! Now we are a family of eight instead of five. It seems that I have a bit of a back-log to catch up with. We'll see if I can keep it up. Time is even less than before, but I hope I can snatch a few moments to update some things here and there. Until the next listing, Adios!

Sick Siblings
He just makes you feel bad for him with that pooch!
Makayla assures us she's not going to be cranky (after much conversation on whimpering and whining at 5:00am.) even though she knows she's sick. Surprisingly she's doing well. We'll see how she does after nap time;)
Three in one blow! Perhaps this means we'll be done with it faster. It's been a very early, interesting morning. Thankful it doesn't seem to be the messy kind of sick! Poor kiddos! Kevin is taking it in stride. His fever is the highest, but he's being "tough" about it. He is getting too big! May this be short-lived!

A Pair of Pants
Hooray! It worked! I tore apart a pair of jeans that would have only fit me in my dreams and turned them into a pair for Kevin. I was doubtful of it being a success, but they fit him!
Childhood Chronicles
Seth has been reading through the Chronicles of Narnia with the children when he is able to in the evenings. They enjoy the time with Papa, as well as the adventures of C. S. Lewis. It has been an engaging series for them and they have already made it to the last book!
Plants and Papers
This is my Fuscia plant from last summer. It's amazingly still alive and makes me very happy with its cascading leaves and bright bulbous blossoms. A cheery scene from our day - school on the table, dinner on the stove, Brennanish scatterings all over the floor, and pink flowers. Nice!
Kevin is becoming quite the artist these days. He is always pulling out scrap paper and crayons, markers, and pencils. It is neat to see what he comes up with.
Smiles & Smirks
Such a girly pose!
A happy smirk
Makayla likes to wind up her musical horse and put Natalie to sleep with it. So precious!
Smiles are easier to come by now!

Baby Blue
Her eyes are still blue! Seth thinks they should stay that way since the rest of our children have brown eyes like their mama. We'll see who's side she's on. Hee!
The Wonder Window
This is a daily occurrence at our house - sitting at the window, wondering who is coming down the driveway or when Papa will come home from work. I think such poses make our window a true picture window;)

Mama Makayla
Makayla apologized to Kevin this morning. "Kevin, I'm sorry you wanted a boy and she was a girl." Kevin assured her that he likes Natalie a lot! Makayla has her own real live doll;)
Cream & Cleaner
Some happy endeavors as of late - homemade butter, and homemade citrus cleaner. The butter doesn't end up being more economical than what you pay at the store considering cream isn't cheap, but I'm routing that we get a milk cow! It sure tastes good though! The citrus cleaner is a score. Not only does it save money, but I know what I am spraying on my counters is healthy. It's not good for deep-cleaning unless you really enjoy using a lot of oomph when you scrub, but it works great for general cleaning. I like it for when the kids finish school on our kitchen table and there are pencil and crayon and... all kinds of marks on the table. Kevin uses it too when I have him clean the upstairs bathroom. Really liking this stuff!

Boys Being Boys
Great Grandpa's NSP hard hat gets a large amount of attention from Brennan. Slightly big, but that seems to be the fun of it;o) Kevin, on the other hand, seems to think that he looks rather intelligent with an envelope as a hat. Oh dear!
