This & That

Seth was laying Kevin down for his Sunday afternoon nap and got him to sleep by gently stroking his face. He loves that! I just thought that this was a sweet picture of Kevin and his Papa.

Kevin just learned how to put the little blocks into the elephant! We've been working on that one for quite a while now and he finally got it!!! Way to go little man!

Soaking Second-cousins

I'm sure both of them will despise this picture someday, but, anyway, this past week my aunt came to pick up Kevin and I to spend the week with them since Seth was to be up in Fargo. We had a very nice time. Kevin and Emma were so cute. They would crawl up to each other and jabber - sometimes while touching heads ever so softly. Kevin thought it was great having a playmate - except for when Emma would try and crawl over him. It is nice to see that Kevin is understanding the words "no" and "don't touch" too because whenever we would say that to Emma, Kevin would start to cry thinking he was the one in trouble. Poor little guy. Overall it was nice to have a diversion during the week. Seth is coming home tonight and Kevin and I are SSSSOOOO excited to see him again! We get to go to Fargo with him next week too! Yay!!!

Loveable Laughter

Kevin was so funny and he let me get it on video for once! He just thought that bouncing was the greatest!

Service Truck Snapshots

Family Fun

These are some very random shots, but our other pictures are on Seth's camera. We had such a good time seeing my family again. Everyone got together this last Friday and we had Friday through Sunday together. Saturday we went to the lake and had a picnic and took Daddy's boat out for some fishing. We were going to go swimming, but you know how Minnesota lakes are in August. It was a very nice time.

Drip, Drip, Drop

We have gotten a rather large amount of rain this past week. I love the way it sounds on our cottage-shaped rooftop. Perfect weather for baking and organizing.
Speaking of organizing, I was straightening up the living room one evening and was clearing some stuff off of our coffee table and noticed that there was some dirt underneath our family Bible. It kind of got me thinking of how Jesus Christ covers our filthiness - and not only covers it, but cleanses it. What an amazing Saviour!

Kevin's Kut

Kevin got his first real haircut a few days ago. It started out well, but then the continued noise from the razor scared him a little. He would reach for my legs and just cling to me! Poor guy - scared of buzzing sounds and nose blowing. I was going to post "before" pictures, but... I forgot -ahee.

Sweet Snacks

Today was a baking day. I had several peaches that needed using, and just enough ripe bananas for banana bread. Mmm! Now my house smells all yummy!

Climbing Cowboy

Tree hangers from the wind storm.
Streblow to the rescue!
So high!
Here are the promised pictures of the tree climbing project. Seth is able to go where the bucket trucks and ladders only wish they could go;o) My job was to man the rope to make sure it didn't get tangled - woohoo. It was neat to watch him climb though. He uses all sorts of rigging, and knows many different kinds of knots that are used for many neat tricks, such as lowering big limbs, descending the tree, and lots of other uses. His climbing saddle is where his buck strap, climbing line, chain saw and all other carabiners attach to. He wears gaffs, or spikes, on his boots for easier climbing. He says it gets harder to climb the tree as the limbs get smaller and smaller and it can be very scary sometimes - especially when you make a cut and the part of the tree you're attached to starts to sway. I suppose that's why they call it a tree saddle. Thanks for all of your hard work Streblow!

Admirable Attributes;o)

Hee!! This picture makes me laugh. Kevin and I went with Seth on Saturday to watch him fix trucks and climb trees (which I will post more about later). On our way back I thought that I would amuse myself and try Kevin's bib on Streblow. He was sweet (as his bib says) and allowed me to post this picture;o). What a cutie! Off to housework now.

Tiny Tid-bits

Our friends, the Siefkes, came to visit on Friday. Sweet little Greta is such a smiley happy baby. Kevin was quite taken with her and even gave her a slobbery kiss on the head. He then crawled over to Katie and gave her a kiss too. Funny child! It was good to visit with our dear friends again! Kevin really likes his books, and this one just happens to be one of his favorites.
So many toys and he always goes for the cracker box!
