Maternity Make-up

This is my new maternity dress! I've been at that point where hardly anything fits right at all, and so I decided that it was time to pull out my demented sewing machine and get to work. I made the pattern by copying a maternity shirt that I have that fits pretty well, and just made it longer so that it would be a dress. It is a tank top style so that when it gets warmer out I can still wear it with or without the cardigan. I had serious doubts as to whether this would turn out or not, so since I am pleased with the end product, I had to blog about it;o) Hee! Funny how you would never have know that I had even attempted such a feat if it had been a complete failure - gotta love blogs! The land where everything can be an accomplishment;o)

Crochet Cover

While waiting for Seth to get home, I decided to crochet something quick and easy. It was a fun little project!

Barren Beds

Don't laugh, but these are my flower beds (on either side of the door). I still have yet to decide what I'm going to plant. It just seemed like a happy spot for flowers. I have this beautiful picture of a sunny afternoon, sipping sun tea and enjoying the sight and fragrance of lovely blossoms. Anyway, the mental picture is nice;o) We'll see what comes of it.

Keeping up with Kevin

It has been a little while now since I've posted pictures of the cutest boy in the world! He is getting so big and is learning so much! Throughout the day he will come and give me hugs and kisses and keep me company. What a blessing he has been in our lives!

Breakfast with Buddies

We have just returned from a lovely week in Granada. Seth was doing a grinding site in Mankato, and so we decided that it would be a great opportunity to stay with my family. Charise came and met me in Mankato and we spent the day going to all of the nearby thrift stores! Kevin really enjoyed seeing "Gama and Gama - pa" Schofield. On Thursday morning my sweet friend, Jessica, went for a walk with Kevin and I as we waited for Charise to get home from her piano lesson so that we could all go out for breakfast at Perkins. It was so nice to catch up with her. Now we are back home as Kevin is trying to get over what I am pretty sure is walking pneumonia. His dear second-cousin was kind enough to share it with him;o) We will miss Seth this week as he is away, but hopefully this can be a week to recuperate!

Us Update

Hello to all of you faithful blog readers! It is already almost the middle of April and I still haven't posted anything this month. Part of the reason is because my camera is goofy, and the other part is that I've just been enjoying doing other things lately. Perhaps pregnancy does affect your desire to get lots of housework done, but I really think that it has been the very nice weather for me. Now that we are downstairs, it has been so nice to have our patio doors open and let the fresh spring breeze blow through the house. Right outside those doors is where the sump pump drains, leaving a quaint little stream of water running to a little pond where the ducks love to swim. When it is running, it sounds like we have a small water fall in our yard. I'll be a bit sad when it dries up during the summer. We have been doing very well. Kevin is just getting over pink eye:( , Seth is rather encouraged about how business is starting to pick up again with the ground drying up, and I am getting bigger by the week as our little one is growing rapidly. July is approaching us very quickly and I am getting anxious to know what baby colors I should crochet with;o) Well, without having any pictures to speak a thousand words for me, I'm afraid that's all I have to say for now. Hopefully I can post more later.
