Girlie Gladness

Makayla Katherine Streblow was born July 26, 2009 at 8:39 am. She was 7lbs 6oz, and 19 1/2in. long. We are so greatful that everything went well. We headed to the hospital at 4:00 a.m. and were able to leave by 4:30 p.m. that afternoon. It was so nice to bring Makayla home and to be able to sleep in our own bed. She has been such a joy already. Her newborn cry, her head of dark hair, her button nose, ... everything about her is so endearing. Kevin has taken quite a liking to her as well. He will frequently go up to her and give her hugs and kisses and pat her hair so gently. I think he will be a good big brother. Thank you, Father, for this new little charge you have placed in our care! May we raise her to bring you glory in all things.

Bring on the Baby!

Tick...tick...tick

Craft Corner

I think I might add roses to the bottom ruffle to coordinate with the top.
This has kept me somewhat occupied while waiting for our little one. Sure am anxious to meet our little boy or girl!

Finger Fun

Kevin received this fun gift not long ago, and after finding out that it wasn't edible decided that it wasn't worth the mess, but today we pulled it out again, and I think he actually had a fun time.

Barren to Beautiful

Before
After
There you have it. My flower beds have flowers. I was waiting to take a picture until they were in full bloom. I'm thrilled about my rose bush. There was much criticism on that front (even from myself), but I'm pleased to say, the roses have been flourishing and it has been so fun to bring in fresh cut roses to cheer up the house. Hee, and it saves Seth the trouble of buying me any;o) I haven't used it as much as I envisioned, mostly because Kevin doesn't think it's any fun to stay on one side of the property and sit and enjoy lovely flowers, but every once in a while I'll go out and sip on something in my little garden;o).

Woodchip Work

The beginning of the grind.
Kevin and I waited in the truck.
The bulk fuel delivery man gave Kevin a tootsie pop.
More grinding.
All in a day's work.
