Sleepy Slurper

If you look closely you can see the progression. He was so funny to watch!
Yes, he desperately needed a haircut. Seth and I had a good laugh at our cute son when he woke up from his nap with quite the hair do. He looks much better now;o)

Preparing for Papa

Well, once again Kevin and I are going to strive to have the right attitude about Seth having to be gone for another week. People are very sweet in saying that we are so flexible. Really, I think you do what you have to. True flexibility is reacting the right way when no one else is around or how you respond on the inside. To be quite trasparent, I'm still working on being flexible. But this week I am determined to do my best. With the weather being so nice, I think it's about time to open up some windows and do some deep down spring cleaning! Seth's birthday is on Friday so that gives me another thing to prepare for! Angel food cake here we come!

Marcus Mielke

Here is my new little nephew!!! Marcus Gideon Mielke, born March 8th at 10:18 p.m., 7lbs 14oz, 21 1/4 inches long. Delivery was safe, and Marcus and Mama are doing well. I'm aching to see them! We have been sick and so we have stayed away to keep from spreading our ickiness to little Marcus. I think we are getting to the point where it is finally leaving us though!! Isn't he such a cutie!

Idiotic Irritations

You know, there are some things that I am not meant to understand. Why I keep trying to figure said things out is beyond me. Maybe I'm just obsessively impulsive. For example, why is it that a person (say a mechanic) who is trained in a certain field of work is unable to perform the very service he is trained to do - thus meaning that the person who is not of the same field (my husband) must successfully do the job that the professional is unable to perform?

Quirky Question

So, does eating a salad justify drinking a coke?...

The Mighty Machine

Allow me to introduce you to the new Vermeer TG 7000 tub grinder. This machine was purchased to replace the Vermeer HG 6000 horizontal grinder (a very necessary replacement). If you thought that the horizontal was big, you haven't stood next to this grinder. The guys are very pleased so far with the upgrade, and hope to see a lot better production with a bigger, tougher machine.

Us Update

Seth took Kevin and I up to Casselton, ND with him this last week. It was nice to get away for a bit. The hotel we stayed at is the same one that we stayed in the last time we were there - the one with the very nice water park. Unfortunately, we never did end up taking advantage of the great pool. Kevin ended up getting a fever and now we are all sick with some kind of congestion flu bug that's been going around in our circles. I'm hoping Kevin is nearing the end since he has had it since Thursday morning. I'm a couple days into it, and Seth is just starting to show signs of the same thing. Blucgh!!! May da resd of you sday healthy.

Pizza Preparation

This is a pizza?
