Pail of Plenty

This is five of the thirteen gallons of bean bounty that was picked today!
Whew! Now they are all snipped and ready to can tomorrow.
The family garden has now been named the Streblow store. The produce aisle is right outside my kitchen window!

Baby Blues

Poor little Kevin has a fever. This is the first time he has really been sick. I feel so bad for him. All he seems to want are his sippy cup and his blanket. Usually he is so active, but right now he is just content to sit with Mama. It is amazing how his being sick just tugs at my heartstrings. Get better soon, my little one!

Green Goodness

We received quite a large amount of green beans from the family garden, so I put my pressure cooker to good use and did some canning. This was my first attempt at canning beans. Seth's mom has been very inspirational in the canning realm. Her guidance has been so helpful!

Welding Wonder

Kevin and I went over to the shop to watch Seth weld some bracing on the dolly wheels. It's pretty neat to watch him weld.

Seeing my Sister

Last week Kevin and I were able to go to Camp Shiloh where Dan and Christa and their team were the special guests. It was so good to be able to see them and to catch up a little. My aunt graciously allowed us to stay with her for the week and we were able to commute to the camp almost every day. Dan was the speaker so we were able to hear him preach every night.

Curtain Countdown

Anniversary Announcement

Happy Anniversary Uncle Jason and Aunt Darlene!!!!!
10 years!

Grandma Gladness

My mom came to visit me on Monday and was able to stay through Thursday. The kids are off at camp and my dad went up north for a fishing retreat, so she decided to come and stay with us. Kevin had so much fun seeing her again - and so did I! We did some canning and went to a couple thrift stores and an antique store. It was nice to be able to chit-chatt and crochet too. Thanks for visiting Grandma!

Sunshine and Swimming

Yesterday Kevin and I went outside with "the neighbors" and had such a great time. Kevin watched from his stroller as we played badminton for a while (although, he was getting acquainted with a racket while he watched), and then we decided that we had gotten hot enough to go for a swim. After getting used to the shock of cold water, Kevin had a very good time being in the pool. Grandma Streblow pulled him around and he jabbered almost the whole time.
