Christa Singing

I'm not really sure if this will work, but I thought I would try and post Christa singing at Deo Cantamoos (sp?). She did such a wonderful job. This is one of the songs that she also sang at her senior recital. I wish you all could have heard it! Sorry if it is all fuzzy and blotchy. My camera isn't exactly high quality.

Not quite Cinderella!

Today I went shopping with Mom and the girls. We stopped at two thrift stores and a garage sale before progressing to the more (can I say) "boring" shopping. It was nice to be out and about all morning. I found this cute pair of shoes for a dollar! They look like they have hardly been worn. Shoes are fun to find - not that I really need any more, but these will be fun and summery.

Love By A Rose

What a sweet guy!
"I shall love you today and tomorrow, my love
And in all the tomorrows there are.
I shall love you as long as there lingers a song,
And the sky has a single star.
In the spring when the wind is a gentle breeze
And the rain and the roses are here;
In the summery days when the friendly rays
Of the golden sun appear;
In the lonely lap of the autumn months
Where the beautiful leaves must fall,
And again in the night when the fields are white
In the folds of their wintry shawl.
I shall love you while ever a mountain stands
And the waves of the ocean pass,
And until the sands of the farthest lands
Have run through the hour-glass.
I shall love you as much as my heart can love
Wherever, my love, you are.
I shall love you as long as there lingers a song,
And the sky has a single star."

Daddy & Mama

Aww! Aren't they so cute! My parents made it back from Georgia safe and sound. They had a good time visiting many of my Dad's relatives. It was nice to be able to see them again!

Horseplay

Seth took the boys out riding yesterday. My brothers were here for a week and loved being able to play in the country. There's nothing like mud, trees, creeks, and horses all at once! Not to mention the ducks and chickens!
Earlier Seth took the boys on the four wheeler. Justus really liked that one! It was a little scarry watching him drive, but at least he had fun. After everyone left, Seth and I went out on the four wheeler. We had so much fun! He took me to a bunch of little places that I had no idea were there. What a fun time! After his being gone on the Ambulance squad for the whole weekend, it was so nice to spend that extra time with him. (He is proud of me for getting some more "manly" posts on my blog. Cowboys & horses, and loaders on my blog - who would have thought!?!)

A boy with his toy

Seth got tired of working in the office yesterday and decided it was time to work outside for a while. He loves his toys! I have to admit, it is kind of fun to watch him run the loader. He knows how to show off in it like a pro!

A Servant of the King

"But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do." Luke 17:7-10

Charity's Creations

Yeah! I finally made my first lacy doily. Usually I would get about halfway and find out that I did something wrong and then I would give up. It's amazing how things get accomplished much better when the directions are read thouroughly! Extra time helps too;o)

City Life

Here are a few pictures of what our cities apartment looked like. It was a cozy place to stay despite the creaky neighbors upstairs. Until the next adventure, I'm glad to be back home again!

Friends

Meet the Siefkes. They are our dear friends from Sleepy Eye. We are looking forward to celebrating Resurrection Sunday with them this weekend. Katie has been such a blessing to me. I praise the Lord for her friendship.
