Comfy Camping

The children and I had a wonderful time going "camping" a few weeks ago. They got a tent from Grandpa & Grandma Schofield, and so I pulled it out again and spent all day playing with the kids on our make-believe outdoorsy adventure. We all had a great time. First, we had to "travel" to our campsite and clean all the rocks and sticks away so we could put up our tent on flat ground (clean their room). Then we put up our tent and set up a picnic table (cardboard box). The next thing was to check out the lake. We picked out some fun colors for our fish and made a pond for them. I put magnets on them and made a fishing pole for them so they could really go fishing. After that excitement we were all getting hungry so we made some food for our picnic and Kevin poured our drinks, much to his delight;) Then it was time for a nap in the tent after such a busy morning (which lasted about five minutes before having them go to their own beds). When they woke up it was time for a campfire and marshmallows (three-wick candle)! Having run out of ideas after that, I found that I didn't need to add anything else because they were content to play it all over again as I snuck away to get a few things done. What a joy children are!
