Here comes Riverdale! Seth was able to sit and watch the parade with us instead of having to drive in it! How nice to have employees! Their grinder looked pretty impressive trucking through the parade.

We have been working pretty hard on potty training these last weeks before the baby comes, and to my surprise, Kevin has finally put the connectors together! We have made tremendous progress, and I think my days of buying size 5 diapers are coming to a halt for a while! He still wears them to bed, but during the day he has been such a big boy!! Persistence has definitely been the key I think. It was overwhelming and very messy at first, but now it has truly been worth the headaches. Good job Kevin!
Hooray! Any of you remember this blanket? Well, it has been almost done for a very LONG time. I finally decided to buckle down and finish it. If you click on the picture it is easier to see the letters. Very glad to have it done and out of my project basket.
Seth came home before Kevin's bedtime yesterday and so he and Kevin looked at loaders on youtube at Kevin's request (Kevin is absolutely enthralled with loaders).
This was on our way to the zoo. Kevin was a pretty good boy. He walked a lot and was almost happy to be back in his car seat on the way home. The camera batteries died so this is the only picture I was able to get:( I think the seal was his favorite. It swam back and forth and then stopped right in front of us and just stared at Kevin. He thought it was so neat!
Seth had to make a run to look at a job site, so he invited me along and took me out for a nice supper. We had a good time talking and just being together.

As I was sitting to fold another load of laundry, my kind young brother-in-law, Levi, brought me my mail along with these lovely wild flowers from the pasture. How thoughtful!

So, I noticed a couple of ants roaming around on my counter top and decided to set out some poison. I think the whole colony found it! Yuck!
We have a lilac bush right outside our front door on the corner of our house and it sort of wraps itself around to our living room window. I just had to go out and pick some. They smell so lovely!
The cool rain has been so refreshing after the warm dusty windy day yesterday. Kevin pointed out the "waters" and was quite fascinated.
This picture makes me laugh. Kevin was in mid sentence of his long explanation of the very cool fire truck.

A fire truck had to come and put out a fire in the pasture and Kevin enjoyed hearing the big vrooms and backup beepers, and seeing the flashing lights.
Here Kevin is "helping" me do some scrapbooking;o) 
Kevin loves to work out with his Papa. I think he's doing push ups;o) It is so funny to watch him watch Seth.
Kevin loves brushes. I had just finished taking a shower and Kevin wanted to brush my hair.
Seth and I (and secretly Kevin too. Hee!) have really been enjoying the fresh asparagus right outside our door (thanks family!). Apparently, some people who really enjoy asparagus will actually go "asparagus hunting" by driving along the ditches to be able to enjoy fresh yummy asparagus as opposed to that store-bought mush you can get;o) What a funny thought. Anyway, I never used to like asparagus until I actually had it made the right way. Now I love it! Our next pleasure will be rhubarb. That will take some getting used to as well I think, but I do know that I've liked it sometimes. Seth wants me to make rhubarb sauce (like applesauce) - a family favorite of his. We'll see how it goes;o) I feel like we are so spoiled with such yummy garden goodness!

I know, another mother posts another picture of her son giving kisses. Some things just can't be helped ;o)
They both had so much fun. Kevin decided to read Emma a book while they both sat on their little toy box bench.
Kevin and I went to visit Aunt Darlene and the girls while Seth was gone. We had a good time (obviously;o).
