ABC Afghan

This is my baby project. I am about 3/4 of the way done. If you click on the picture, the alphabet shows up better.

Hominess Happiness

Just a couple of things I did today. Anyway, we are back in Granite Falls for those of you who haven't heard yet. We came back last Sunday because the DNR wants them to stop the project for a while due to the moisture content being too high. I'll say that I'm a little bit on the glad side, but I know it is kind of an irritation for Seth when things are delayed. He's such a good sport though and takes everything in stride. What a wonderful man! Now we should be back so that Kevin can hopefully be born in Granite Falls like we had planned. It has been fun getting everything set up and ready for his arrival! Only a little ways away now. I was talking to my mom this morning and we were saying how 2007 has been such an eventful year for our family. Seth and I were married at the beginning of the year, my parents will be grandparents now, and Christa is getting married in December. Two weddings and a baby all in the same year! Such exiting times! Thank you to those of you who have remembered us in your prayers. I was blessed on Sunday afternoon during our prayer service when I had finished praying because over and over I could hear people praying for Seth and Kevin and I - not just for a healthy delivery, but also for wisdom for us as a family. What a blessing to know that we are being lifted up before God's throne of grace for strength and wisdom. Well, I'm not sure how many more tummy tally's I'll get in before the big day - I can assure you that they will stop once he's born! Although what a good way to try and get back in shape! I have a lot of work to do (and sadly, no volleyball practice to make me have to push myself the way I need to). More blogging for another time.

Tummy Tally

Only one month left!

Grand Rapids Greetings

Well, we aren't actually in International Falls. That was where we thought we were going to be, but it turns out that Grand Rapids is closer to all of the sites where Seth is working so that is where we are staying. The hotel that we are staying at has high speed internet so (since we are the last room at the end of the hallway) if I sit by the door and log in I can get a decent signal. Seth's ASV is back in operation now, which is a big help, so now he is out at the sites getting back to work. That is a blessing because there have been many unexpected delays with all of the rain too. Seth must have a rain cloud over his head because anywhere we go lately, the rain seems to follow - or maybe that's my fault;o) I will admit, my days are a lot more fun if it is rainy out because then he has to come home early, but it truly gets to be discouraging for Seth when he has a deadline to meet and limited time to get it done. One day at a time though. It sounds like tomorrow he will be getting someone else to come up and help him out. Yeah! Two machines going at it instead of one will be so nice! We hope to make it back before the 20th so that we can anticipate having Kevin in Granite Falls instead of Grand Rapids! I have been staying busy with crochet projects for the most part along with some reading and also learning how to cook out of a microwave and crockpot - a unique challenge that at times can be fun. So far we've had spaghetti, stew, chili, pork and potatoes, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese, tacos, and even chocolate cake! If you ever by any strange chance need any great microwave recipe ideas go to nancyskitchen.com. I've also made use of the pool occassionally in the afternoon when nobody is around. All in all, everything is going well for us up here in northern Minnesota. The scenery is beautiful!

Time for Travel

Time for a little adventure! Seth and I are heading up to International Falls tomorrow morning. There is a land clearing job that they got there so we will go up there and try and get as much done in a couple weeks as is possible - not that I'll be able to help much on site or anything;o) They just got a new ASV to do the job and they really enjoy using it, so despite how long Seth will be in the machine, he should still enjoy the work. Please pray that everything will go well for us. Kevin is due November 2nd so Lord willing we hope to be back mid - October and not have to be anywhere else for a while after that. I probably won't be able to blog for a while, but eventually I'll post about how things are going.

Bright & Beautiful

What a beautiful August morning! The sky is so blue today and the red berries on the vibrant green tree outside my window rest against the sky to make such an array of colors.
"For the beauty of the earth, For the glory of the skies, For the love which from our birth Over and around us lies: Lord of all, to Thee we raise This our hymn of grateful praise!" ~Folliott S. Pierpoint, 1835-1917

Garden Goodness

This is my trial run at salsa. I think it might have turned out okay, but it could probably be a little spicier. It was fun anyway.
These will be interesting. I've never attempted pickles before. Pickles have to taste a certain way to be good. We'll see how they turn out.

Almighty Abba

"This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." ~Lamentations 3:21-23 If only I would remember every morning that God is merciful to me again - what a perspective to the day! Where would I be without His compassions, mercies, and faithfulness. What an all-consuming God, and yet, what an Abba, Father!

Tummy Tally

Uh... can it get much bigger? Only two and a half months left. Time has gone by so fast! Soon we will be holding our first born in our arms.

Family Fellowship

This last week I was able to borrow my brother's car and go down to Granada from Waconia to surprise my parents. It was so fun! Charise kept a good secret. That night Charise and I drove to Owattona to visit Christa and to see her new apartment (wich is very cute by the way) and then we headed back for the cities the next day. Seth was very generous to let me be gone for a night (even though he likes to hold it over my head - silly man!). Charise was able to come and stay for what we thought would be the rest of the week, but we ended up having to be home Thursday night so we met my parents in New Ulm and had a wonderful time fellowshipping together. What a blessing family is!

Fairmont Fair booth

This is at the Martin County Fair. Uncle Jason and Aunt Darlene put a lot of work into this booth for the church. It looked great! Justus is in the monkey suit. Not too far from average for him, but I guess we are trying to prove otherwise - hee!

Busy Brothers

We will miss you Johnny! Truly, it was fun.

Recent Ramblings

Well, I am at the Waconia library right now. Since it is only a few blocks from our house here, it isn't too far of a walk. That is nice. I'm not sure how often I'll get down here, but it is nice to know that I have some kind of access during the week because there just isn't any time on the weekends. Today I took Seth and Johnathan (his last week ;( sadness!) their lunchbox and was able to enjoy spending some time with them over dinner and then watching for a little bit while they augered (sp?) and screwed in rail. I got some good pictures, but I only have seven minutes left to be online and then I have to share. Eventually I'll post another tummy tally because I'm definitely bigger than my last post. Only two and a half months to go!

More Moving.

The town house in Ham Lake -complements of George... somebody that works for Bahram.

The kitchen in the town house. Wow! Counters and cupboard doors!!! Nice!
The master bedroom. Josh and Randi stayed in here along with Lenora. The master bathroom right off of the master bedroom.
One of the few basement rooms where Seth and I stayed.
The main room upstairs right off of the kitchen. Lots of space! All of our stuff after moving it into the garage of the other house where we will be staying in Waconia. We are now going to be in Waconia for a while. Josh and Randi and the kids moved in last week and we hope to move in this coming week. It is a nice place even though it is signigicantly smaller than the town house. Hopefully I can post more pictures of the house in Waconia in the near future. Johnathan will be staying with us for the summer to help the guys out so that should be fun. It has an upstairs, a main floor, and a basement. Just enough space to fit everyone. Praise the Lord that this place is only ten minutes from the job site as opposed to an hour or two! The plan is then to stay in the cities during the week and then come home on the weekends.

Creating Corsages

A slow beginning and lots of laughs, but we finally got all of the corsages done!

Baby Boy!

For those of you who haven't heard, we found out last Friday that our little one is indeed Kevin Charles Streblow! The picture is his profile if you can make it out at all. My camera wouldn't take a good picture of the ultrasound pictures.
